Started working on this bag a while ago, and decided it was time to finish.Sewed on the lining a bunch late last night when I should have been in bed.  Completed it today. I am pleased. This time I made a tag and stitched

it in the lining. I am really liking that. The pictures I took actually look pretty nice. See for yourself.  This bag is for sale. If you are interested, contact me at my email address. I am asking $30.00 or B.O.  Thanks!

I received a picture of the sheer curtains I made for Peter hanging  in their new home. I have to say, I am very pleased with how they look.  Take a look for yourself.

Sheer curtains for Peter.

I received an email with a picture of the hockey team attached. All decked out in their jerseys. How fabulous they look. I am so proud of them, and I only met one of the members.  Silly!  Check them out.

I finished the curtains on March 7, 2011.  I called Peter to tell him. We made plans to meet at Pete’s again on Tues. 3-8-11.   We chatted a bit about the fabric, etc. He mentioned a possibility of doing some more work with the same fabric. He will let me know.

Check out the progress, and completion picks.  I am very pleased with the result.

First 2 panels using existing hem.

New casings, no hem.

All done! Yipee!

Sheer curtains for Peter.

Got an email requesting curtains. The fabric is sheer, and moves around a lot. Normally, I would run away from this kind of project, but I was determined to figure out a way to work with this fabric.  I made plans to meet with Peter on 3-2-2011 to discuss the job.  I agreed to do it, and quoted a price. He was fine with the fact that it is hard to work with this sheer madness. If I have a really hard time, I could up the price a bit, with a 20% cap.  I agreed.

I have been playing around with ways to cut, and sew on this stuff. I think I have a way that will work. I just started cutting today, 3-3-11. I hope to finish the cutting process soon. I would like to spend friday sewing.

Check this fabric. It is pretty, but a challenge.

Pretty slippery!

The challege before me.

The first bag I made turned out pretty nice, but I am not completely satisfied.  I made a second one using the ideas I had after making the first. I like this one much better.  Each one is unique, of course since each is made with a different pair of pants. The linings makes a big difference in the look as well. So, check it out.  This is for sale.  Let me know if you are interested. Contact me at my email address.  Thanks!

Crazy lining.

Second bag from 501's

I have several pair of black Levi’s that need to be used. I saw a video on YouTube a while back showing how to make a laptop bag from a pair of jeans. I thought it would be interesting to use that idea, but put my own twist on it. So, that’s what I did.  I  already have ideas of  how to improve on what I have done.  Every time I make something, I learn something new.  Let me know what you think. Check it.

A polka dot tie!

I decided to add something to the bag to perk it up a bit.  Added a red polka dot tie.  It makes a big difference.  Liking it so much better!  This is for sale. If you are interested, feel free to contact me at my email address. I would like $30.00, but I am willing to negotiate.

Yahoo! I have completed the last 3 jerseys. They turned out nice. I think Mike will be pleased. I hope the guys do well in their tournament. I asked for pictures.  I also hope these jerseys make a hit, and stay together for at least a game or two.  What a gig, and a lesson for me.

The final three!

Yippie!!! Yahoo!! Mission accomplished!!!

I cut out all three jersey’s  last night. Wanted to be ready to sew this morning. I did just that. My new machine handled the sequins quite well.  Used the waxed paper method again. Worked great!  One almost complete, just need to finish the neck. I am going to do all three necklines  at the same time. Production line style. So, on to number two. Not today though. Got other projects I want to work on. Yipee!!!  I am jazzed about my new machine. So nice to have good tools!!!   {-;

The jersey’s continue!

Received an email this evening, asking if I can make 3 more sequins jerseys. OM goodness!!  This time there is a deadline. I have about a week to get them done, and in the mail.  Yes, I can do it.  Going to get started soon. I don’t know how this will work on my new machine. Should be fine. Going to use the same technique. Gonna have to pull out the waxed paper again. haha.
