I have several pair of black Levi’s that need to be used. I saw a video on YouTube a while back showing how to make a laptop bag from a pair of jeans. I thought it would be interesting to use that idea, but put my own twist on it. So, that’s what I did.  I  already have ideas of  how to improve on what I have done.  Every time I make something, I learn something new.  Let me know what you think. Check it.

A polka dot tie!

I decided to add something to the bag to perk it up a bit.  Added a red polka dot tie.  It makes a big difference.  Liking it so much better!  This is for sale. If you are interested, feel free to contact me at my email address. I would like $30.00, but I am willing to negotiate.

Yahoo! I have completed the last 3 jerseys. They turned out nice. I think Mike will be pleased. I hope the guys do well in their tournament. I asked for pictures.  I also hope these jerseys make a hit, and stay together for at least a game or two.  What a gig, and a lesson for me.

The final three!

Yippie!!! Yahoo!! Mission accomplished!!!

I cut out all three jersey’s  last night. Wanted to be ready to sew this morning. I did just that. My new machine handled the sequins quite well.  Used the waxed paper method again. Worked great!  One almost complete, just need to finish the neck. I am going to do all three necklines  at the same time. Production line style. So, on to number two. Not today though. Got other projects I want to work on. Yipee!!!  I am jazzed about my new machine. So nice to have good tools!!!   {-;

The jersey’s continue!

Received an email this evening, asking if I can make 3 more sequins jerseys. OM goodness!!  This time there is a deadline. I have about a week to get them done, and in the mail.  Yes, I can do it.  Going to get started soon. I don’t know how this will work on my new machine. Should be fine. Going to use the same technique. Gonna have to pull out the waxed paper again. haha.

New sewing machine!

Yipee!!! Today I got a new machine.  I have wanted one for a while , but was getting confused with all the comments from people I spoke to, and the more I researched, the more frustrated I got.   I finally took my butt to Berkeley, and found a shop that would take a trade in, and apply credit towards your purchase. EVEN BETTER!!!!   I ran and got the money man, and we went back and bought the one I was checking out.

It’s a “BabyLock” . Her name is “Molly”. Brand new!!!!    A first for me. I have always used second hand machines. Look out folks. Nan is going to make more wonderful things, and take on projects that have scared her in the past.   Check her out.  Oh, and I have a serger by BabyLock as well. I bought it second hand, and I have had really good luck with it.

My new baby.

This is "Molly". She is my new toy!

My serger, also "BabyLock"

Today I made a new curtain for my closet.  I used light blue taffeta. It’s not my greatest accomplishment, but hey, it’s for the closet!  Still on the fence about if I like it. Going to give it a few days to see if if grows on me.

I am pleased to tell you, the garage project is now complete. It was a long, interesting, learning experience.  My two customers  and I worked as a well oiled machine. Only a small amount of swearing. hahaha.. Lot’s of chat, laughter, and improvising. Some awesome meals, and cups of tea as well.    Happy days are here again!!! What is this???  Pictures!!!  Yipee!

Thanks Guys!   ♥  ♥  ♥

Delivered the second christening gown this morning. My customer was pleased as punch, and gave me a little extra for my trouble with the doll. Had to manipulate her a bit to get the dress to fit correctly. It does look very nice. Told her if she needed any other sewing to let me know, and I would consult with her on what ever it is.  Before we parted, she thanked me again, and gave me a hug!  That was a nice bonus. I love it when the customer is pleased, and I was the one who made it happen.

Second gown done.

Worked all day on the gown. Had a little trouble with this one. The doll was different than the first. Had to do some plastic surgery on her. haha Didn’t use the button hole attachment like I originally planned. It did turn out nice. I took some pictures, but they are a bit blurry.  The ones from the first gown are nicer. You can refer to them. Thanks!

Second christening gown.

Started working on the second christening gown ordered in Dec. 2010. Cut all the pieces, and got them serged. Just need to start sewing. Going to make this one  a little different. Want to make actual button holes, instead of using snaps. Let’s see if the button hole attachment works the way I am hoping. If this one turns out as nice as the first, I will be really pleased.  I think my customer will be as well.
