This springy little dress is cute, but had a very matronly neckline. Nat asked me to make it better. Please! I did just that. It looks much nicer, and I think she will wear it more. I was also presented with an item she uses when belly dancing. It needed to be cleaned up a bit, and she wanted it to have an “apron” look. No problem Babe. Consider it done.

Natalie sent a bag of many items in need of a face lift. Of course I took on the challenge. This little blue dress was in need of a little serging, and adding of lace. It was a tad short, so I used wide lace for the bottom, and something smaller, and similar for the sleeves. I think it turned out nice. More on the way. I did mention there were several items. ha (-;

I received a very interesting request for “MC Hammer” pants to wear to an A’s game in July. Of course I was intrigued with the idea, and was ready for the challenge. Marykate was very helpful sending a link to a site with detailed instructions, and yes, pictures!! We soon met over a latte’, and agreed to get started . Marykate bought the fabric, and supplied all the measurements I needed to make a pair for her, and her brother Michael. I am pleased to say, they turned out very nice, and I think Marykate and her brother will be doing a happy dance! (-; This was a fun project for me. Easy to do, and I had the perfect client. Thanks, Marykate!

I decided since I was in search of a roommate, a new robe might be a good addition. I purchased some flannel a few months back, with this idea in mind. I finally got my act together, and made it happen. It has a hood, but my lady form doesn’t have a head. I improvised with a decorative skull. Looks a little odd, but serves the purpose. The pictures actually look pretty good. I am pleased.

I have seen videos on YouTube showing how to “braid” a t-shirt. It is more like “crochet”, but I have been curious, and wanted to try for a while. Today was the day. Grabbed an already chopped, and worn shirt I use for lounging, or sleeping. Perfect for my maiden attempt.
It looks ok, but I clearly need to try a few more times, and maybe watch the video again.Taking notes might be a good idea. I took pictures. You will have to be the judge. Ta da!!!!!
Just couldn’t leave it alone. Not sure how I feel about this. Improvement, or mess??? LOL!!

Terri and I have been talking about perking up her kitchen for months. Painting is on the list, but we were thinking of starting small. Decided curtains would be a good idea. I had already made one for an area of the family room, now it was time to move to the other side of the room, and the garden window behind the sink.
We found some fabulous, light weight, canvas fabric with all the colors she wanted. Scored a 50% off coupon from a customer standing in line at the cut table. Yipee!! Kept the project in her price range, and we both did a little dance of joy!
After a few hours, spinach dip, diet Pepsi, and several dances of joy of my own, I was able to complete both curtains, and 3 new covers for some outdated decorative pillows. The whole area looks brighter, and Terri is tickled pink. I am pleased with how everything looks as well. See for yourself.

Seems as though I am on a bag kick. I have made two in the last 24 hours. I am trying to use more of the black denim, and a pair of pants left behind by my roomy. Tote’s are pretty simple, and go together quickly, as long as I don’t get to detailed. Yeah, that is easy for me.. NOT! ha.
So, here you go. My two latest denim tote’s. Bags anyone????? Both bags are for sale. $25.00 each, or B.O. Thanks.

I had been wanting to make a tie for a while. I finally cut one out, and it has been sitting for a bit. I decided to go for it today. It turned out fair. I can see where I goofed, and will do differently if I decide to make one again. I want to make a bow tie next. More sewing on the machine, and not much hand sewing. The pictures turned out pretty nice. Take a look for yourself.

I wanted to do something with the last pair of 501’s that wasn’t a bag. Decided to go with a skirt. Thought it would be nice to line it. HHMMM….Well, the skirt itself wasn’t hard. The lining was another story. After fussing, and huffing, I finally got it to lay correctly, but now that the skirt is done, I am not sure I like it. It looked nicer in my mind. haha. I think the lining looks great. The right side? Still on the fence about it. Anyway, here’s my attempt at lining a pair of jeans to create a skirt. LOL! This skirt is for sale. If you are interested, you can contact me at my email address. I am asking $50.00 or B.O. Thanks.

I tried to add some info to my original label, and I messed it up. I made some new ones, and I think they are better. Here is one I put on the bag I just finished today.
