Tina asked recently, if I would make a dress for Isabella. She has a new favorite character, Tinkerbell. I agreed. It is a wrap dress, with pleats and completely lined! I know, lots of detail. It looks great, and I hope Isabella likes it.

The first chisel holder was such a success, I was asked to make another. This one with strapping, buckles, and a handle. I was up for the challenge. A couple of pant legs from an old pair of Levi’s, two parachute buckles, and some belting was all I needed to make it happen. I am jazzed about this project. I think my brother will be pleased, and pleasantly surprised! He has no idea I am making this one. It’s between Laurie, and me. He ha! We are sneaky!!! 🙂

At Easter dinner, there was a detailed discussion between my brother Tim and I about making a chisel holder. He drew a picture, I wrote down measurements, and notes for myself. I finally started working on a prototype the other day, but I needed a chisel to help me with some of the details. Tim showed up today with a holder he has, and really likes. It was very similar to the prototype! We chatted a bit more, I agreed to do the job,and he likes

my price. I am pleased with it. I hope it holds up!
Obviously these tools are not chisels, but you get the idea.

Usually when I make something for Jeff, and make a prototype, I give it to him and he uses it. This time that didn’t happen. Not sure why, it just didn’t. Well, I was thinking, why am I keeping it? I can’t wear it. Probably won’t use the fabric for anything. I decided to finish it properly, and give it to him. He has no idea, yet! It turned out rather nice. It is a bit bright, but that’s ok. It would be perfect for Halloween if he dresses as a bar tender. I didn’t put the mini pockets, and I used some hardware on the ties in the back. Wanted to switch it up a bit from the black one. I know he will be pleased, and totally surprised. Ha! Got ya!

I like to make new things from old things. Recycling is something I have done as long as I can remember. Way before it was fashionable, and earth friendly. I have a pair of green khaki’s that have wonderful pockets, and I wanted to use them. I decided a bag was in order. I like to make totes. They are easy for me, and I see results quickly. No one can have too many totes! Now that you pay for bags in the stores, totes in the car is a must!

As you can see, Jeff is very pleased with his vest. It fits nicely, and both of us are doing a dance of joy!

Jeffery has been after me to make a vest for him for quite a while. He is tall and slender, and finding clothing off the rack is difficult. I agreed, but not without a prototype. I made two, and finally with his help adjusting, I came up with the right pattern.
He picked a suiting fabric, and a contrasting gray lining fabric. I don’t like the lining fabric. It is slippery, and not easy to work with, but I figured it out, and the end result is very nice. I stitched the one remaining button, and a label on the lining. Looks good! I am sure Jeff will like it as much as I do!

A year or so ago, I was making infinity scarves like a crazy person. I slowed my jets on them after a while because I figured folks were tired of seeing them. Well, I recently

decided to make a few more, and I am pleased with the results.

One of my co-workers is pregnant, and due in early June. I thought it would be nice to make an outfit for the baby. I like making kids clothes. Even if you make a mistake, they still look cute! She is having a boy, so I used race cars for the shirt. A little stretch denim for the overalls.

I did a repair job on a Raggedy Ann doll I have had for many years. Somewhere along the line, she lost her arm. Well, I took care of that. The surgery went well, and as you can see. Ann and Andy are quite happy with the new arm! I don’t know what happened to her clothes, but Nat dressed her in what was available. Also, MANY years ago. Maybe a new outfit will be next..????
