Apron patterns seem to be finding me lately.  I don’t usually wear them except at my job, and washing dishes at family dinners. But, I am drawn in by the cuteness of them. I recently made two, and I am pleased with the results.  One has a “50’s” flair, and the other is a “flapper”.  Both take very little fabric, and are reasonably easy to make.  The curves are a little tricky, but overall, not bad. The “flapper” I made double faced/ reversible.  Twice as much cuteness in one apron!009025029024027

My aunt gave me a storage box that I like, and use, but hate how it looks. I moved it out of the kitchen because of that. Well, I decided it needed to be closer to my sewing area. The only way that would happen, is if I changed it’s look.    I added  a little extra foam on the top to make it  more comfy for sitting. I think it will house my “over flow” of fabric nicely.

Tanks for Jeff.

Jeffery has been after me to make tank tops for him for months!  I decided a prototype or two, would be a good thing to do.  The first was not quite right.  I think the second one,( the gray one,)  is  going to be closer to what he wants.  I threw in a pair of boxers, just because!002010006

A few more scarves.

004016009010The first group of scarves turned out so nice, I made a few more. What a great way to get use of something that has been sitting idle for years. Not a bad use for a small amount of knit. Quarter yard or so, and whalaa!!!  An awesome, new, fabulous, fashion statement. (-;

Infinity scarves

I have many scarves, but I never wear them. They hang in the closet on a hanger. Well, I was thinking, if I transformed them into “Infinity” scarves, maybe I would wear them.  I tried it on one, and liked it so much, I did the same to two more!  I also used a piece of knit, to make one fresh for my daughter.  She is as pleased with the result, as I am. 002019025011

007004The pj’s were such a hit, Tina asked me to make a hoody  of flannel, with the same characters, but different print. I had already customized a pattern for the jammies, so I only had to create a hood. Not hard to do. I had it completed pretty quickly, even with taking out some seams. So, I am pleased with the time frame, and the result. I think Isabella will be doing a “dance of joy”.  I hope so!

Kids clothes are fun to make, and look so cute!
