Lynn had some decorative throw pillows on her patio bench that had been out in the elements for quite some time, and needed new covers. We had a short discussion about fold over closures, and decided it was the way to go. Quick and easy! Whaalaa!!

Stu and Vanessa had a bouncing baby boy 4 months ago. Little Ansel. I wanted to make an outfit for him. I used a pattern I have had for years. The overalls are made from a pair of my work pants, and the shirt
is remnant pieces. I think it’s pretty cute.

Jeffrey and William are two of my favorite men. Jeff just had a birthday earlier this month and William is someone I met at work. We clicked right away! I wanted to do something for both of them. Since I am still on an oven mitt kick, I decided to make one for both of them. They both cook. : ) I am all about gifting practical things. I used scrap fabric, so no real cost to me.

I have been on a roll making oven mitts and napkins. They are easy to make. The mitts are a good way to use remnants. Only takes about a quarter yard of fabric. Napkins take a bit more , but tearing and serging fabric is a quick and simple way to make them. Here’s the latest.

I wanted to make pillow cases for a friend who is nuts about Christmas. I couldn’t make up my mind about which fabric to use, so I used two. One set of cases, two prints, a whole month of the season for her bed! I hope she likes them. I am throwing in a Christmas oven mitt just for fun. ; – )

I decided recently to make an oven mitt. I watched several videos on YouTube and got different ideas on ways to make them. I really liked the video showing lined ones. So, I gave it a try. I wanted something to go with the mitt, so I made some napkins.

An apron at work is part of my uniform. This last year, I have been making one for what every holiday is on the way. I am not big on Christmas in general, but I found a nice remnant that fit the bill for an apron. Yes, I did piping.

Karen has a set of patio furniture with worn out and faded covers. It’s time for a face lift! She purchased some lovely Sunbrella online. A bright orange for the cushions and some stripes for the accent throw pillows.
The curves on the cushions were a little tricky, but by the second cushion, I had my rhythm. : ) I used outdoor thread for strength.

The original Terror Rama was such a success, it’s a given there will be a Terror Rama II! I was asked and able to help with costuming for the original production with my dated 80’s wardrobe that I have stored in a tote and not been able to let go. Thank goodness! ; – )
For Terror Rama II, I was asked to create some items. Of course! As luck would have it, I have patterns, fabric, buttons and trim to do the job. 3 uniform black and gray plaid skirts, 3 matching scrunchies, a priest/ mister type robe and shawl.
All the items turned out great! I am very pleased and so are my clients! I will look forward to
seeing them on the characters .

Anthony purchased a pea coat at a second hand shop in Montana. It is in pretty good shape, well except for the pockets. He hasn’t been wearing it because they are torn so badly. I was asked to repair it. Anything I could do would be appreciated. I agreed, but don’t guarantee it. I will give it my Junior College try.
I found two torn armpit seams. They were easy enough to fix. The lower squared pockets were a little tricky, but doable. The upper rounded pockets were a challenge. I ended up replacing them all together. All of the pockets are longer then the originals. The rounded ones are larger all the way around. I think this will work well for Anthony.
