A little bird mentioned to me, that someone I had made oven mitts for in the past, would like some more of them. Well, I jumped on that immediately. Here you are!

Natalie and Anthony are big cat fans. I saw some super cute kitty fabric a while back, and knew immediately, I had to have some. I had already purchased a remnant of another cute kitty themed fabric with no idea what I was going to do with it.
I decided to spin some fold over closer pillow covers, an oven mitt and some napkins.

Since I have perfected making oven mitts and napkins, I decided to make them one more time. I have this super cute, colorful fabric, and I just couldn’t resist. Sadly, my camera is not the best, but I make due. Sorry for the not so wonderful photos.
I have better pictures. Yay!

My friend and coworker is nuts for Disneyland and anything related to it. So, of course, anything Mickey Mouse is appreciated. I decided to make a bag for him. He was intrigued with one I made for someone recently. He tells me he tried to duplicate what I did, and was not successful. So, I made one the same way for him. I hope he likes it. I do!

🙂
I have been told in the past, I need to sew in labels on my work. So, I made sure I did just that.

I thought it would be fun to make a chef’s hat. I have not made one before. I researched on YouTube, and found several videos. All of them were very similar. I ended up using the first one I viewed, but put my own spin on it. This is very typical of me. 😉

A few weeks ago, I was asked to help make a creative idea come to life. Well, I am all over this kind of sewing. It is fun, and a joy to see the reaction of the person for whom I am sewing. I was asked to make a table runner and an overlay. We exchanged ideas and went fabric shopping. During the fabric selection, there was an unexpected addition to the sewing list. Hey Nancy, I think I want you to make a bag for me from this fabulous fabric. Can you do that? Of course, I can. Let’s see how much of this awesome fabric do we need?

Here we are a couple of weeks later, and whalaa!! Mission accomplished.

I recently made a few tote bags. One for my nephew who is the guacamole king. One for a friend, and one for me, just because I wanted to. I had some t-shirt logos left over from a quilt I made recently. They were prepped, and ready to use,
so I figured, why not?

My mother has many t-shirts with logo’s from her travels over the years. I decided to use them in a quilt. As luck would have it, the logo’s were on the large side, so I didn’t need a lot of them. I used a sheet for the few I had to enlarge, to make them fit the way I wanted. I like it!

This was my first time using a rotary cutter. Takes a little practice, but I think I got it. And, yes, I completely understand why so many folks like using them.

My mother is the “Queen” of quilting. Over the years, she has made many a quilt for friends, raffles and silent auctions. As far as I know, no one has made one for her. I decided to change that. I had a nice sized section of pieced fabric that I put together years ago. Simply because I like the prints, and I didn’t want to throw them away. I had no plans for it at the time. I put it with my stash of fabric.
When I decided to make a lap quilt for her, and started searching for the colors of fabric I wanted
to use, I saw this handy work, and said to myself, “this is perfect.” I just need to add a border or two. Maybe 3, and it will be ready to go!
So, 3 borders later, a layer of fleece for batting, and a backing. I
didn’t actually quilt around the sections. I used embroidery floss on some of the corners. Just to hold the layers steady. I really like how this turned out.
