Susie recently moved to an apartment. She has a fouton in need of a fitted sheet. She asked me if I would try to make one. Well, her knowing me as well as she does, knew I would take the challenge.  I already had a fitted sheet that was close to the dimensions, and the corners cut. I went with it.  😉

I think it looks pretty good. She is pleased!

I recently made a baby blanket, which was a “quilt” of sorts. I am not a quilter, but I  have been playing  with the process. I decided to give it another shot.  I tore all the pieces, machine stitched them, and hand stitched the border. I used batting this time. I tied the corners with embroidery floss. I didn’t want to hand quilt the whole blanket. More hand sewing than I like to do.  I realized that batting hides a lot of imperfections. I like that.  Still a learning process.  I don’t know if this will be a regular thing for me, but it has been interesting.
