019021027024Jeffrey and William are two of my favorite men. Jeff just had a birthday earlier this month and William is someone I met at work. We clicked right away!  I wanted to do something for both of them. Since I am still on an oven mitt kick, I decided to make one for both of them. They both cook. : )   I am all about gifting practical things.  I used scrap fabric, so no real cost to me.

A birthday gift.

014-2015I have been on a roll making oven mitts and napkins. They are easy to make. The mitts are a good way to use remnants. Only takes about a quarter yard of fabric.  Napkins take a bit more , but tearing and serging fabric is a quick and simple way to make them.  Here’s the latest.

Christmas pillow cases.

I wanted to make pillow cases for a friend who is nuts about Christmas. I couldn’t make up my mind about which fabric to use, so I used two. One set of cases, two prints, a whole month of the season for her bed!  I hope she likes them. I am throwing in a Christmas oven mitt just for fun. ; – )007003

I decided recently to make an oven mitt. I watched several videos on YouTube and got different ideas on ways to make them. I really liked the video showing lined ones. So, I gave it a try. I wanted something to go with the mitt, so I made some napkins.  011001

Christmas apron.

010007An apron at work is part of my uniform. This last year, I have been making one for what every holiday is on the way. I am not big on Christmas in general, but I found a nice remnant that fit the bill for an apron. Yes, I did piping.
