Covering such a large piece of  foam was a challenge.  Contrasting piping was one as well.  Now that is done, I am pleased.  I think Steve will be doing a dance of joy when he sees it. I hope so!   🙂

Steve was nice enough to send  pictures of the curtains I hemmed, and the pillows I made, in their new home.  They look great, and we are both very pleased.   Thanks Steve!    (-;

Foam is a little difficult to handle. Steve and I had a discussion about covering it with something before I made the actual decorative cover. It would make it easier to work with when removing for washing, etc.   We both agreed it would be the way to go. Luckily, I had a sheet that was the perfect color, and size to make one.  Wasn’t hard to make. Didn’t take to long. Was a little tricky getting the foam in, but it fits, and looks pretty good.

I had a couple of good sized pieces of fabric I cut from curtains I hemmed for Steve.  I asked it he was interested in a couple of decorative throw pillows made from that fabric. He was very interested.  He soon had two pillows ready for me to cover. I used “French” seams, and “fold over” closures. Just like the green pillow I made for him previously.  They turned out very nice, and I think he will be pleased.
