Covering such a large piece of foam was a challenge. Contrasting piping was one as well. Now that is done, I am pleased. I think Steve will be doing a dance of joy when he sees it. I hope so! 🙂

A cover for Steve’s cushion. Part 1 (the pre-cover)

Foam is a little difficult to handle. Steve and I had a discussion about covering it with something before I made the actual decorative cover. It would make it easier to work with when removing for washing, etc. We both agreed it would be the way to go. Luckily, I had a sheet that was the perfect color, and size to make one. Wasn’t hard to make. Didn’t take to long. Was a little tricky getting the foam in, but it fits, and looks pretty good.

Decorative pillows for Steve.

I had a couple of good sized pieces of fabric I cut from curtains I hemmed for Steve. I asked it he was interested in a couple of decorative throw pillows made from that fabric. He was very interested. He soon had two pillows ready for me to cover. I used “French” seams, and “fold over” closures. Just like the green pillow I made for him previously. They turned out very nice, and I think he will be pleased.
